Community Events
We care deeply about the community we serve and believe everyone should have access to great music and dance. With over 100 activities offered throughout the year, we feel confident you’ll find a fun learning opportunity that’s right for you!
Preludes
Ticket holders are invited to hear musical and historical insights through engaging interviews and fascinating lectures before most performances. On Discovery Series concerts and throughout SummerFest, we hold Musical Preludes, which feature SummerFest Fellowship Artists and local emerging artists.
Open Rehearsals
Open Rehearsals provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the intricate rehearsal process. Learn more by joining the conversation during post-rehearsal Q&As with the artists.
Encounters
SummerFest Encounters take a deep dive into specific topics with expert panelists and lecturers, including music history and theory, roundtable discussions with composers-in-residence, and presentations on how to develop a successful career in music.
Artist Lounges
The spark of creativity is unique for every person. Artist Lounges are intimate, in-depth conversations focused on the artist as an individual. Discover what drew our guests to their art form and what keeps them inspired.
Community Arts Open House
Join us each spring as we celebrate the local arts community at The Conrad. You’ll be able to participate in movement, art, and music classes while enjoying performances from talented school, community, and professional groups—all free-of-charge and fun for the whole family!
Coaching Workshops and Master Classes
We provide myriad opportunities for you to learn directly from artists. Free and open to the public, Coaching Workshops and Master Classes pair young musicians and dancers with some of the most talented performers in the world. These sessions provide a unique opportunity for you to observe the evolution of interpretation and performance in an intimate setting.
