Education Ambassador Project: Spring Flight

As La Jolla Music Society’s second annual Education Ambassadors, Grammy Award-winning ensemble Third Coast Percussion and dancers from Movements 4 Movements worked with San Diego students on an innovative composition and choreography project.

Over the course of two months, music and dance students from The Bishop’s School, Mira Mesa High School, and San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts joined forces online with these talented artists—all educators in their own right—to create a new work titled, Spring Flight. The work, featuring original composition and dance, echoes the brilliant world premiere of Metamorphosis performed by the Third Coast Percussion with Quentin Robinson and Ron Myles in The Baker-Baum Concert Hall in November 2020.
