Tenor saxophone and highly inventive vocalist

Camille Thurman is a powerhouse multi-instrumentalist and vocalist whose fluid tenor saxophone work and inventive singing place her among today’s leading voices in jazz. Equally adept on bass clarinet, flute, and piccolo, she has performed with an extraordinary range of luminaries—from Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra to Kenny Barron, Roy Haynes, Diana Krall, Chaka Khan, and Alicia Keys.

A New York City native, she is a two-time ASCAP Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composers Award winner, a Fulbright Scholar, and runner-up in the Sarah Vaughan International Vocal Competition. Thurman made history as the first woman in 30 years to tour full-time with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (2018–2020).

Together with the Darrell Green Quartet, Thurman will bring a thrilling evening of world-class jazz brilliance.
