Get to know Self + Sound with SummerFest Music Director Inon Barnatan

We look forward to welcoming you back to The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center for SummerFest 2021: Self + Sound! With internationally acclaimed pianist Inon Barnatan in his third season as SummerFest Music Director, this season is sure to delight with new ideas and exceptional artists. 

Inon has based SummerFest 2021 on the theme of Self + Sound – an exploration of how composers write themselves into their music and how the diverse influences that make each of us unique find their expression in sound. From Beethoven, Rachmaninoff and Debussy to Bernstein and Gabriela Lena Frank, composers and artists use music to express their individuality and identity, celebrate and idealize their nationality, convey their love, and immortalize friends and family.
