La Jolla Music Society invites talented student musicians from across San Diego County to audition for its inaugural Mariachi Honor Band!
Applications Due: Sunday, September 20, 2026 by Midnight
High School Honor Band (Grades 9–12) and University Honor Band (Ages 17–25) open to:
Violin
Trumpet
Guitarron
Vihuela
Guitar
Harp
Selected musicians will:
- Perform alongside talented peers from across San Diego County
- Learn from leading mariachi artists and educators
- Take the stage in a featured concert with Latin GRAMMY®-nominated artist Javier Rodriguez and special guests
- Perform at The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center on November 5th
