Opening Night celebrates the return to live music with a collection of joyous works curated by our SummerFest musicians. The concert concludes with a miracle of youth: the Mendelssohn Octet, which was written when the composer was just 16 and lives on as one of the most joyful pieces of chamber music ever written.
