The Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition

The Metropolitan Opera Competition is designed to discover promising young opera singers and assist in the development of their careers. It has been sponsored by the Metropolitan Opera National Council since 1954, including hundreds of volunteers from across the US, Canada, and Mexico. Some of today’s greatest singers got their start in the auditions, including Renée Fleming, Anthony Roth Costanzo, Eric Owens and Nadine Sierra. Please join us for the 2022-23 San Diego District Auditions.

Admission is free – a $20 donation is suggested and greatly appreciated.
