The evening begins with Mozart’s sparkling Serenata Notturna, a charming display of elegance and wit. Strauss’s lyrical Duet Concertino follows, spotlighting LA Phil principal clarinetist Boris Allakhverdyan and principal bassoonist Whitney Crockett, before concluding with Beethoven’s vibrant Symphony No. 2—an early triumph.
