Dancing on Tiptoes: A Musical Exploration of Melody, Movement, and Mood
Co-Production with ART OF ELAN, Resident Company @The Conrad
Part of
Budding arts lovers are invited to The Conrad for a fun-filled morning of all things creative: crafting, poetry, music, and dance!
Families are encouraged to arrive early (or stay late) to join The Merry Makers for a complimentary arts and crafts session between the two performances, perfect for fans of journaling or sketchbooks—customize your own to take home. Young visual artists will also enjoy a special exhibition as The Wu Tsai QRT.yrd transforms into an outdoor gallery showcasing recent work by students from The Preuss School.
The morning is anchored by a lively classical concert presented by The Art of Elan, featuring an exciting collection of works by Australian composers—featuring new pieces co-created with young Aussies—that burst with energy and imagination. Select pieces are paired with original poetry by budding writers from Curie Elementary and includes opportunities for audience members to dance and move along to the music. Contemporary dancer Chelsea Zeffiro, one of San Diego’s standout performers, will lead interactive movement for select pieces, rounding out this joyful celebration of creative expression.
