Engaging the Aging Brain Through Music Lecture and Concert with the Aviara Trio
Presented in partnership with Salk Institute and Monarch Cottage
We are excited to announce an enhanced experience for the final Wu Tsai QRT.yrd Concert Series event of the season in collaboration with our community partners Salk Institute and Monarch Cottage.
Arrive early for a lecture on “Engaging the Aging Brain Through Music” by a Salk scientist and learn more about how music benefits the aging brain. Light refreshments and coffee will be hosted by Monarch Cottage.
Registration is free but required to attend the lecture as space is limited. The QRT.yrd Concert, featuring Aviara Trio, is free and open to all. Bring your lunch and enjoy live music in this gorgeous setting.
Comprised of violinist Robert Schumitzky, cellist Erin Breene, and pianist Ines Irawati, the exciting Aviara Trio has made an indelible impression on the musical landscape of Southern California for the past decade. Most recently, the trio was honored to perform at the Hollywood Bowl on Celebrate LA, Los Angeles Philharmonic’s 100-year anniversary celebration.
