Acclaimed as “a perfect musician” (Le Monde) and “vocally brilliant and dramatically fearless” (The New York Times), countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo began performing professionally at the age of 11 and has gone on to appear with many of the world’s leading opera houses. This summer he’ll work with stage director, choreographer, and dancer Zack Winokur, who is recognized as one of the most innovative and exciting talents working in opera today, creating masterpieces described as “pure poetry” (Boston Globe). Get to know these great artists ahead of their newly conceived celebration of Kurt Weill on Thursday, August 18.

AmateurPianists is pleased to announce the 2025 San Diego International Piano Competition and Festival for Outstanding Amateurs, a classical music tour de force for nonprofessionals from all walks of life. It is a showcase for amateur pianists from all over the world, age 25 and above, to formally compete or simply perform in our non-competitive festival.
