Alison Brown

One night only! Grammy-winner and Banjo Hall of Famer Alison Brown brings her unique blend of bluegrass and jazz to the Conrad on June 12^th. All proceeds from the concert will benefit the local and international service projects of The Rotary Club of La Jolla., a 501 C-3 charitable organization. Top tier ticket purchasers will be treated to a private pre-concert reception and Q & A discussion led by San Diego’s own Deering Banjo Company CEO Jamie Deering.

Alison is a graduate of La Jolla High School and began playing the banjo as a teenager on the Southern California bluegrass scene. Alison is the recipient of the USA Artists Fellowship in Music and the Distinguished Achievement Award from the International Bluegrass Music Association. She is a frequent collaborator with actor/comedian/banjoist Steve Martin with whom she recently won an Emmy for Best Musical Composition for their collaboration “Foggy Morning Breaking” from Alison’s 2023 release On Banjo.
