Stephen Waarts
Stephen Waarts, celebrated for his poetic musicality, has quickly established himself internationally, highlighted by his 2015 success at the Queen Elisabeth Competition, where he won the audience prize. He has since debuted with major orchestras like the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Oregon Symphony, and frequently collaborates with ensembles such as the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the Hallé Orchestra. A sought-after recitalist and chamber musician, Waarts regularly performs with artists like Sir Andras Schiff and Daniel Müller-Schott at prestigious festivals including Aspen and Gstaad, and in renowned halls like Wigmore Hall and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. His discography includes a critically acclaimed 2022 release of Mozart Violin Concerto No. 1 and Hindemith Kammermusik No. 4.
