Samuel Hager
Bassist Samuel Hager has been a member of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra since October 2006 and has served two seasons as Acting Associate Principal Bass. He has been a regular performer at SummerFest since 2011, with this season marking his tenth appearance. Before joining the San Diego Symphony, Hager played one season with the Oregon Symphony and has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at both Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. Hager performs on a Modern Italian double bass circa 1930, made by Giuseppe Tarantino. Known for his rich tone and versatility, he is highly respected for both his orchestral and chamber music work, bringing depth and passion to every performance.
