Ruben Valenzuela

Ruben Valenzuela is the founder and artistic director of Bach Collegium San Diego (BCSD). As a conductor and keyboardist, he has led BCSD in acclaimed performances of music of the Renaissance, Baroque, and early Classical periods. In addition to his work with BCSD, Valenzuela regularly performs as a guest director, most notably for Bach Vespers at Holy Trinity (New York City), Bach at Emmanuel Church (Boston), Julliard 415 at Lincoln Center (New York City); Washington Bach Consort (Washington, D.C), Seraphic Fire (Miami), Handel+Haydn Society (Boston), Philharmonia Baroque (San Francisco), including an upcoming set of performances with the San Francisco Symphony.
