James Ehnes

James Ehnes has established himself as one of the most sought-after musicians on the international stage. 2025–26 concerto highlights include Orpheus at Carnegie Hall, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and London Philharmonic. He is the first violinist of the Ehnes Quartet and the Artistic Director of the Seattle Chamber Music Society. His extensive discography has won many awards including two GRAMMY® awards, three Gramophone awards, and 12 Junos. Ehnes plays the “Marsick” Stradivarius violin of 1715.
