George Li

Pianist George Li established a major international reputation after winning the Silver Medal at the 2015 International Tchaikovsky Competition. Recognized for his “staggering technical prowess,” Li has performed with leading orchestras including the Los Angeles, New York, and London Philharmonics, collaborating with conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Valery Gergiev, and Michael Tilson Thomas. His career highlights include a performance for President Barack Obama at the White House and recitals at Carnegie Hall, the Louvre, and the Elbphilharmonie. An exclusive Warner Classics artist, his discography features live recordings from the Mariinsky and a 2019 release with the London Philharmonic. Li’s numerous accolades include the 2016 Avery Fisher Career Grant, the 2012 Gilmore Young Artist Award, and First Prize at the 2010 Young Concert Artists International Auditions. He holds a dual degree in English Literature and Music from Harvard and the New England Conservatory, where he also earned an Artist Diploma. He recently complete an extensive tour of China and debuted with the Prague Philharmonia and Aula Simfonia in Jakarta.
