Ela Kodžas

Serbian-American violinist Ela Kodžas is a dedicated soloist and collaborator whose career spans the United States, Europe, and Asia. A specialist in historical performance, she won the 2024 Juilliard Historical Performance Concerto Competition and was a prizewinner at the 2025 Premio Bonporti. She has performed under renowned directors including Masaaki Suzuki, Rachel Podger, and William Christie, and was featured as a soloist with Juilliard415 in Alice Tully Hall and on tour in China. Kodžas’ recent and upcoming engagements include performances with Les Arts Florissants, Vox Luminis, and the American Bach Soloists. She has been appointed as a Mercury-Juilliard Fellow (2025–2026) and an inaugural Academist of the Insula Camerata in France. As a founding member of the period ensemble Quartet Novalis, she has appeared at the Utrecht and Boston Early Music Festivals. A native of Rochester, NY, Kodžas holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music, UCLA, and The Juilliard School. She is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda and recipient of the Christopher Hogwood Award at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
