Brandon Patrick George

Brandon Patrick George is a GRAMMY-winning flutist and member of Imani Winds, praised as a “virtuoso” by The Washington Post. His solo career includes performances at Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and the Dresden Music Festival. He has appeared as a soloist with the Atlanta and Baltimore Symphonies, and previously served as guest principal flute for the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Gustavo Dudamel. A dedicated advocate for diversity, George launched BPG: The Community Concerto Project to mentor young musicians of color and expand orchestral repertoire. He was part of the inaugural WQXR Artist Propulsion Lab and serves on the faculty of the Curtis Institute of Music and Mannes School of Music. His discography includes the four-star rated album Twofold (2023) and a 2020 debut profiled by The New York Times. Trained at Oberlin Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music, George has collaborated with leading composers like John Adams and Tania León. He also serves as a music consultant for The Morgan Library & Museum.
