Anthony Ratinov
Hailed for his “unwavering energy and precision” (La Scena Musicale), American pianist Anthony Ratinov captivates audiences worldwide, commanding the stage with “class, style, technical mastery, and solo prowess” (Beckmesser). Ratinov won Third Prize at the 2024 Concours Musical International de Montréal, and in 2025 won Second Prize at the National U.S. Chopin Competition. Additional honors include Second Prize at the Busoni International Piano Competition, First Prize at the Ricard Viñes International Piano Competition, and Second Prize at the Iturbi International Piano Competition. His first teacher was his grandmother, Edit Ratinova, who taught at Moscow’s Gnessin Music School for 45 years before emigrating to the United States. Ratinov holds an Artist Diploma from The Juilliard School and completed graduate studies at the Yale School of Music, after earning a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Yale University. Ratinov has performed at major venues including Amsterdam’s Royal Concertgebouw and Barcelona’s Palau de la Música. Upcoming highlights include his Carnegie Hall solo recital debut, and appearances with the Wisconsin Philharmonic, Symphony of the Americas, and Sedona Symphony. Ratinov is a Young Steinway Artist.
