Aisslinn Nosky

Canadian violinist Aisslinn Nosky is a “fearsomely powerful musician” recognized for her expertise as a soloist, director, and conductor. In 2011, she was appointed Concertmaster of the Handel and Haydn Society of Boston. Her leadership roles also include serving as Concertmaster of Bach Akademie Charlotte and Guest Artist-in-Residence with the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra since 2018. Nosky was a member of the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra from 2005 to 2016 and previously served as Principal Guest Conductor of the Niagara Symphony. She has collaborated with international ensembles such as the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. As a founding member of the Eybler Quartet, she explores early string literature on period instruments, notably recording Beethoven’s Op. 18 quartets. She also serves on the faculty of the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. Born in Canada, Nosky began playing at age three and made her solo debut with the CBC Vancouver Orchestra at age eight.
