A Musical Experience Like No Other 

Every summer the world’s finest classical musicians gather in Southern California for La Jolla Music Society’s SummerFest, a celebration of chamber music led by Music Director Inon Barnatan with four weeks of concerts and more than 50 free wraparound learning and engagement events.

With the captivating theme of “Inside Stories,” attendees of this year’s festival will be transported into the heart of musical narratives that span the spectrum of life itself—stories of resilience, heartbreak, love, scandal, and triumph.

GRAMMY Award-winning British composer Thomas Adès returns to the festival as 2024’s Summerfest Composer-in-Residence. Celebrated musicians such as Augustin Hadelich, Joyce Yang, and Anthony McGill will join visual artists The Paper Cinema, dancer Caleb Teicher, and others for a unique festival you won’t want to miss.
