The Conrad will serve as a heart of cultural, arts education, and community event activity in La Jolla, bringing world-class performances to the community and be the new permanent home of La Jolla Music Society. In addition to holding world-class performances, The Conrad will be available to rent for education performances, corporate conferences, weddings or a myriad of other uses by individuals, schools, and organizations making the venue an ideal community partner.
Help make The Conrad a venue for all to enjoy and be a part of the creation:
The Capital Campaign
Although the initial goal of raising funds to cover the cost of construction has been met, the financial needs of The Conrad continue. The Capital Campaign goal is $76 million. In addition to the cost of construction and land purchase, the Capital Campaign goal includes an endowment for the annual operating costs of The Conrad.
To date, La Jolla Music Society has commitments of $62 million from Founding Donors who have each pledged at least $1 million as well as from members of its Board of Directors. In addition to the naming gift from Conrad Prebys, other lead gifts have been made by Stephen Baum and Brenda Baker, Joan and Irwin Jacobs, and Raffaella and John Belanich.
